Our Services

Manual Lymphatic Drainage

Treat inflammation and target symptoms of lymphoedema.

Reduce swelling and fluid retention with gentle, rhythmic techniques to improve circulation. This method supports the immune system, encouraging the body’s natural lymphatic drainage process, and helping clients to enjoy a more active lifestyle.

This treatment is designed to support the client’s natural lymphatic drainage process.

Movements are gentle and rhythmic, focusing on the soft tissue rather than the muscle to help relieve swelling and promote relaxation.

How it works

Standard manual lymphatic drainage sessions run for approx. 60 mins. To help address more advanced swelling, we recommend bookings of 90 mins or longer.

Ahead of the appointment, we’ll be in touch to review the client’s personal health goals, medical history, and what to expect during the session.

Before we begin, we’ll discuss things like allergies and any areas of tension or discomfort. A majority of the at-home treatment is then spent gently massaging the body using strategic lymphatic drainage techniques.

As this treatment promotes detoxification, it’s common for clients to experience an increase in urination after the session. We recommend that clients drink plenty of water afterwards to stay hydrated while supporting the body’s natural lymphatic drainage process.

Our remedial massage treatments are suitable for all clients. Everything from the techniques and pressures used is adapted to support the individual goals and health profiles of our clients.

However, unless otherwise advised by their GP, we recommend that those experiencing symptoms of heart disease, blood clots, cellulitis, deep vein thrombosis, fever, kidney failure, or infection avoid this treatment.
